I don't think the XYZ Handheld Scanner works with the 3D System Sense because on the official website, it's mentioned that you need a 3D Sense Scanner to be able to connect it with the application.
You should visit the official website to see exactly what are its features and any compatible devices, but I couldn't find them even after I've looked through the Support section.
